Working with Nadine was one of the best decisions we made for our event. Not only she was creative and actively involved in the development of her activity, Nadine was extremely energetic. She knows how to engage with the public and make everyone fall in love with her!"

dance, drama & cultural workshops//

For many years have specialized in African/Caribbean culture. I was awarded a traveling fellowship to research African retention in Cuban and Jamaican storytelling, dance, performance, and folklore. For many years I have taught African and Caribbean dance folklore and culture.

*Please understand that I am using Africa and the Caribbean in broad terms and acknowledge Africa and the Caribbean even though there are similarities Africa is a continent with various countries, cultures, and languages and the Caribbean is made up of various islands with various languages and cultures.

I have given interactive lectures where people see the evolution of African Caribbean dance and culture at Toronto Public Libraries. Storytelling at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), reciting Louise Bennet's poetry, and providing choreographed African dance performances for both TTC and Rogers Communications.

team building

workshops//

I have used drama, movement, and dance as a tool for confidence-building and bonding for groups. I use drama activities that encourage working in harmony, to trust and rely on each other. With corporate teams, this doesn't only help with their relations with their colleagues, but also their customers or clients. Along as team building games, I provide role-play exercises to act out particular scenarios to deal with various situations that can arise in a work environment. Please check our Inside Expression Academy for more details.

working with all ages//

I have been a mentor for teens and young children and have used drama and dance as a self-esteem-building tool. I have also worked with the elderly and the disabled using dance, song, and drama not only to build self-esteem but also as a source of entertainment, and expression and for the elderly to remember their youth!
