I have regularly taught as an arts educator, in schools, educational and community organizations for all ages, and abilities providing Dance, Drama, Storytelling and Song for many years. As a teacher of the arts in schools, I have always linked with the National Curriculum working with schools and the teachers coinciding with class projects. Providing interesting lessons on subjects such as The Romans and World War II.

At these workshops, the participators in lessons are taught the theme and given the skills and the confidence to create and perform their own work, which gives the participants a sense of pride and achievement.

Within the educational sector, I have worked with many educational programs and initiatives in London, UK, and Toronto, Canada as an Assistant Director, Movement Animator, workshop leader, organizer, and dance/drama practitioner, with performances and leading workshops at various locations including  Firgrove Learning Innovation Centre,  Canada's Creative Education Centre, Culture Days, Toronto Libraries, in Toronto Canada and London England's Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

I have helped with minor productions such as assemblies and school plays giving teachers a helping hand. I give them the skills to teach Drama, Dance, and Song to their students keeping their lessons fun and educational!

I have been a mentor for teens and young children and have used drama and dance as a self-esteem-building tool. My work has also led me to work with the elderly and the disabled using dance, song, and drama not only to build self-esteem but also as a source of entertainment and expression.

For many years in my native country of England, I was a contracted art in educational resident at specific schools. At these schools I provided dance and drama lessons, helping schools with extracurricular activities, assemblies, and lessons. I also provided dance workshops for teachers and supporting adults within the schools for team building and exercise. I have led teacher training days that helped the teachers to be comfortable with teaching the performing arts.

The high demand as an art, educator led me to be the director of NBDT ltd, which led to 'blue circle' which provided schools with teachers and workshop leaders for arts education.
Due to my knowledge of Caribbean and African* history and heritage, I have taught many workshops during Black History Month on storytelling, folklore song dance, and drama in schools in Toronto Canada, and London, UK and to do storytelling in institutions such as the Arts Gallery of Ontario.

*Please understand that I am using Africa and the Caribbean in broad terms and acknowledge Africa and the Caribbean even though there are similarities Africa is a continent with various countries, cultures, and languages and the Caribbean is made up of various islands with various languages and cultures.
